Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and pixel tags. This page explains which cookies and similar technologies Taproo uses on taproo.com, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Strictly necessary

These are required for the Service to function and cannot be turned off. They include your sign-in session, CSRF protection, your shopping cart contents, and the record of your cookie consent choice itself. No consent is required for these under PECR / EU ePrivacy rules.

2. Functional

These remember preferences such as your selected NFC carrier letter, theme choice and recently used QR builder settings. They make the Service more convenient but are not essential.

3. Analytics (optional)

If you accept, we may set anonymous, aggregated analytics cookies to understand which pages and features are used and to improve performance. They do not identify you individually and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

4. Payment processing

When you check out, our payment processor (Stripe) sets cookies necessary to secure the transaction and prevent fraud. These are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

5. Hosted QR landing pages

Pages we host on your behalf at taproo.com/p/... and the dynamic redirect service at taproo.com/q/... only use strictly necessary technologies. Anonymous scan counts are recorded server-side without setting cookies on the visitor's device.

6. Managing your choice

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in our cookie banner, or by clearing your browser's site data for taproo.com. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings — note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break sign-in and checkout.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
